Free WordPress e-Commerce Theme: Crafty Cart
Today we are proud to release our very first freebie Crafty Cart – a free theme for your WordPress e-Commerce store. It’s a fresh flavoured retro style for selling t-shirts and handmade items, designed to be a starting point for your online shop. This theme was created by Billion Studio especially for our readers at King Cart.
This theme requires the WP e-Commerce plugin from here for shopping cart functionality, but works as a fully functional blog on its own. The design features custom made ‘Add to Cart’ buttons and a beautiful shopping cart widget design.

How do I set up a wordpress shopping cart and start making money?
It’s easy! Just follow these simple steps…
- Download the popular e-Commerce plugin for WordPress completley free
- Install the plugin and activate, remember to enter your PayPal or Google Checkout details in the settings for payment processing
- Get the e-Commerce theme that will transform your WordPress blog into a shop - Download Crafty Cart
- Activate the theme in the WordPress admin. Done.
Some cool features of crafty cart
I made my best effort to keep the code tidy and clearly organised for easy styling and changing the design to your taste. It comes with full Widget support, plus Gravatars and separate Pingbacks as standard in modern themes. It’s such a pain to upgrade the plugin and redo all the template hacks normally, so I included everything you need in a single theme folder which makes upgrading a breeze.

Hi,
I really like your shopping cart theme but am running into a problem. I already have a home page designed and built in wordpress, but when people visit the store part of the site I would like it to switch to the Cart theme. Is this possible? Thanks!

The WordPress e-Commerce plugin coupled with Crafty Cart makes for one heck of an e-Commerce solution.
In other news we (at Instinct) are gearing up to launch the next version of WP e-Commerce and it is going to be slick… here is a little heads up on what you can look forward to:
1/ new image / thumbnail management system
2/ new shipping engine (UPS & USPS integration)
3/ new upgrade system to increase stability
4/ enhanced variations & product options
5/ rewrite of core AJAX functions

Hi there, thanks for this awesome theme… however, on the checkout page i’m getting this error when landing on the page:
” Fatal error: Call to undefined function: curl_init() in /data/members/paid/r/o/rotterdamfixedgear.com/htdocs/testserver/wp-content/plugins/wp-shopping-cart/shopping_cart.php on line 302 ”
Do you or does someone else know what this means and how to get rid of it?

i got problem with the buy now button and checkout.
but the important thing is checkout. if i try to click at ‘go to checkout’, nothing happen. whats is the problem?… i cant find any clues…. help…

Thanks for the amazing free e-commerce wp theme. I use it, but using for the default theme was seem not SEO friendly. just check with a free meta tag analyzer online and I got any bad status based to the default theme. So finally it resolved if we used the platinum SEO plugin. hope it’ll help. and once again thank you very much for this theme. I love it so much..

Thanks for the great theme.
I’ve notice there was a contact form in the about page, but when I edited the text in my admin panel, the contact form disappeared.
Do you know how can I bring it back?
I’ve tried going back to the previous revision but to no avail.

i am using your crafty cart them with the WP eCommerce shop plugin. my question is, i would like the shopping cart widget to always be present on the browser window, for example, i have over 40 items on my products page and you have to scroll down to see all products but the widget doesn’t follow. could you tell me the code to insert to make this happen or is it a WP eCommerce issue?

What a complete stroke of luck that I found this site.
I have people ask me all the time how to easily set up a shopping system online. Unfortunately most of them are very non-tech. This theme will enable me to help them now without having to personally do a lot to get them going online with their items for sale.

I want to use this theme, and I have download the plugins..But when I click check out..it shows “Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/shopper/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-shopping-cart/submit_checkout_function.php:168) in /home/shopper/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-shopping-cart/merchants/paypal_multiple.php on line 232″..What’s the problem? I am using this theme for my ecommerce store and it is great. However, one problem that I would like to see addressed is that you can’t just throw a paypal button onto a page (it works in Firefox, but not in Internet Explorer). For an example of what I’m talking about check out this page:

The category boxes work like a charm in Firefox, but not in IE. This is a major flaw if it is supposed to be an ecommerce theme as around 70% of people still use IE.

Ack, love this but where oh where do I modify the text at the top of the checkout page right before the form to collect customer data? I really would like to add a line about using paypal on the next screen. I am afraid people will jump ship before proceeding because the input form fields are on a non SSL secure server.
